EMBRACE Lab at conferences!

Mind team member Andreia Soares attended I Jornadas de Psicologia: Práticas e Aplicações at Universidade Lusófona - Centro Universitário Porto. She presented the current results from the ongoing Mind trial in breast cancer. A great contribution to the field of psycho-oncology!

iACTforDGBI team member Siri Jakobsson Störe, Post-doc at Örebro University, presented a poster about our online ACT intervention for DGBI at Gastrodagarna in Stockholm, Sweden, between 14-16th of May. She was accompanied by Research Leader Inês Trindade and Research Assistant Michaela Blomqvist-Storm. We were very grateful for being able to present our research and discuss it with senior researchers and clinicians in the field!

Representing the lab and our IBD project, we also have Sanna Nybacka, Post-doc at Chalmers University of Technology (Gothenburg, Sweden), and Tom van Gils, Post-doc at Sahlgrenska University Hospital at the University of Gothenburg (Gothenburg, Sweden). They attended the DDW 2025 conference in San Diego. Sanna held a talk called ”What is the best dietary treatment for IBS?” and even won an award for the poster  “The GI-Specific Avoidance Scale: Development and Validation of a New Questionnaire”. Tom presented the latest findings from the project with his poster “Changes in Overall IBS Symptoms Are Associated with Changes in Psychological Distress in Crohn's Disease But Not Ulcerative Colitis: Findings from a 10-year Follow-up Cohort Study”. Great work!
